Following his break from cycling, Tom Dumoulin has come back to the sport with one big goal on his mind: to win the individual time trial at the Olympic Games. Fresh from winning the Dutch Nationals for a fourth time, Dumoulin must be hoping he is in good form for Tokyo. Unlike some of the other competitors, he will not have the Tour de France in his legs, so should be reasonably unfatigued, especially as he has only had nine race days so far this year. He finished second in Rio in 2016, behind Fabian Cancellara, and has since won the world TT title and three grand tour stages against the clock.
