The Order Of The Universe
So what really happened with the much-vaunted new Yes project with Jon Anderson and Trevor Rabin?

From the early days of Anderson Rabin Wakeman, the trio mooted making a studio album together. but I wanted to write for a band again,” explains Wakeman. “It was exciting playing music with ARW that I hadn’t done for such a long time and great fun playing with Jon and Trevor again. With Lee Pomeroy and [drummer] Lou Molino we had one hell of a band, musos playing at their best and all smiling. The response from audiences was tremendous.”
With successive tours proving highly successful, the decision was taken to make a new album with the intention, according to Wakeman, of including some epic tracks. However circumstances conspired against them. Significant demand to see ARW play live meant considerable time on the road. Anderson’s wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in the middle of a tour. And with Anderson and Rabin residing in North America, a logistical hurdle existed too.
