LIFESIGNS
VENUE THE HALF MOON, PUTNEY, LONDON
DATE 05/03/2023
Frontman and keyboardist John Young is joking when, early in tonight’s set, he recounts describing Lifesigns as “deeply unpopular” on a regional BBC radio appearance. That’s patently untrue for the loyal and warmly enthusiastic fans here being treated to an evening of contemporary symphonic prog of the highest quality. Yet it does prompt questions about why, 10 years into their existence, the band are still playing in a 200-capacity venue like the venerable Half Moon. Their performance makes such questions even more pertinent.
