Little good came out of the pandemic, but it was responsible for a lot of skew-whiff creativity and weird energy flowing in directions one might not have expected. For instance, Berlin-based American guitarist Nick DiSalvo – distanced from his progressive metal brethren in Elder during the great pause – explored his post-rock leanings on the solo album Hirschbrunnen, released under the name Delving.
