🚂THE MARCH ARH ISSUE OUT NOW🚂

There has been much written in our sister publication Railway Digest in recent months covering the retirement of the first Australind railcars sets, so now it is our turn to have a review of these interesting units (only four cars). They had many liveries but still carried on the same service though out and even for a short while detached at Pinjarra and return to Perth as a single car?!
We also look at the fascinating operation on the Main South when fire strikes at Wingello in 1965. The extreme extent to which the NSW Department of Railways in 1965 was prepared to go to keep the system running, and to deliver its passengers – no matter how late – to their destinations as comfortably and well-fed as possible. Things aren’t like that now but it is a rare insight into the immediate operations and how the Blayney to Demondrille line was used. We also have another exciting instalment into the History of the Gippsland Line Electrification – Part 2.

All this and more in our March issue!

Highly recommended Ozzie Railway History Mag

Anyone interested in Australian Railway history, this is a well produced, and high quality mag. My great grandfather helped built many of these railways in late 19C. Revisto 22 novembro 2018
