We start the new year with a magazine that is sure to get you buzzing for the spring kick-off. Yes, it won’t be long now before the buds are on the trees, the clocks go forward and those spring evenings lengthen getting Mr Carp on a munch. It’s that time of year that all carpers look forward to, that special time when carp throw caution to the wind and begin to feed-up after their winter slumbers.
Not that we can complain too much about this winter. We’ve had 10° nights in January and catches have continued even on some of the toughest venues. Let’s hope that old saying which goes ‘In like a lamb and out like a lion’ doesn’t come true as I have got four more carp shows to do before my life returns to normality again, Norfolk, Brentwood, Farnborough and Tiptree mid- March that’s all for this time.
Cover story this month features one of the most consistent Big Fish catchers in the UK. Sean Leverett has enthralled us with his tales of success on many of the hardest waters. As this month’s cover bears testimony he’s done it again, this time it’s Vinnetrows’ amazing half linear at an incredible 51lb 15oz.
