A shocking neon yellow image of the upcoming Genesis GV60 appears on the cover of the October 2021 issue of DieselCar & EcoCar, with the new pure electric vehicle set to go on sale here next year. Other new debuts include the Audi SkySphere, we’ve got concept sketches of the SsangYong X200 and the first photographs of the Taigo, Volkswagen’s new coupé-esque baby SUV. We’ve got the first pictures of the facelifted BMW iX3, information on the hydrogen powered BMW X5 and images of the upcoming Volkswagen ID.5.

We have a diesel versus petrol shootout, with the Citroën C3 Aircross BlueHDi 110 taking on the Citroën C3 Aircross PureTech 110. Unsurprisingly, it’s a win for the French brand, but which of the two forms of propulsion do we recommend? You may be surprised. We also tell you at which mileage the diesel version becomes the more cost effective to purchase. Other tests include the new shapely new Renault Arkana, the baby Hyundai Bayon SUV and the facelifted Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class.

This month’s used car buyer’s guide is all about the current generation Nissan Micra 1.5 dCi, we look at tuning and modifying a Mercedes-Benz C 250 CDI and examine hypermiling – a trait that you could very easily get involved in. We ask whether an electric car’s battery pack is anything like that in a smartphone, we look at the legality of e-scooters, and this month’s Hall of Fame vehicle features the most powerful production diesel engine ever made. Go on, I’m sure you can already guess!

diesel, green cars, electric mag

The UK’s leading magazine for diesel, green cars, electric, hybrids and alternative fuelled vehicles, full of advice on tech, mechanics, future plans. great photos inspiring reviews Revisto 21 agosto 2022

I like the way it has evolved over the years

I have been buying it in print and online since the early 2000s and I like that it always has focused on the economy end of motoring, or us cheapskates if you like. It has moved to covering hybrids and electric cars which is good, and hasn't forgotten its roots - diesels.

It's a friendly, down to early mag and Doctor Diesel is still the best bit.
