A warm welcome to Issue 19 of Air-Style VW Magazine
It only seems like the other day that Summer and the show season was ahead of us, now in the UK nights are starting to draw in again and many will be putting their pride and joy under cover until the warmer days return. Team Air-Style have had a busy summer getting out and about to as many shows as possible, including our own of course, Volks Weald, and you can read a report from this year’s successful event in this issue.
So, what else does issue 19 have in store for you? As always, it’s crammed with some amazing VWs from all over the world with something for all tastes.

Spencer White delves into the world of stoner rock, tracing it back to its roots. We have a report from the 28th European Dragster Speed finals in France and Laura Jeffery tells us about Steve Denson and Zoe Hughes’ ’76 Devon Bay, their first venture into classic VW ownership plus another great round-up of life in the low lane from UTA. Dave Allen saved the ’63 Beetle he is now the proud owner of, and check out Tom Baker’s Squareback, something that turned into a bit more of a project than he first thought – a story many can identify with, I’m sure! Like many great origin stories - the idea of Air-Style VW Magazine was conceived in a pub. Four like-minded friends knew that they weren't alone in their love for all things Volkswagen. They felt there was a gap in the market for the many that shared their passion, and believed that they could provide a service that speaks to the people in love with the cars, vans, music and lifestyle that makes the VW fandom so unique. Throughout the various pub meetings that followed, the premise grew from a concept into a fully functioning business plan. Their mission was simple… to provide VW enthusiasts with a dedicated publication in which they can learn more about their beloved brand, and share their experiences with other VW devotees.
Fast forward to today, and Air-Style VW Magazine has surpassed expectations. Proud to pair their own passion with fellow VW enthusiasts - Air-Style VW’s success has stemmed from the creators being genuine fans of the brand.
