This Is Me
DIVA READERS REVEAL WHAT VISIBILITY MEANS TO THEM
How do you feel visible? Is it when you’re sporting your favourite flannel shirt? When you get more than 50 likes on that absolutely Insta grid-worthy selfie? Or maybe it’s when you’ve got a Pride flag wrapped around your shoulders as you march through your city covered in glitter.
We’re all different and visibility means something different for each and every one of us. It’s not easy to quantify. The truth is, there’s no correct way to be or feel visible.
That’s why we asked you to share your best #ThisIsMe selfie with us, telling us exactly what visibility means to you, the lovely DIVA readers – bringing out the women behind the labels.
In the wonderful words of Lettie Lutz in The Greatest Showman: “I’m not scared to be seen, I make no apologies, this is me.” Everyone in the LGBTQI community has the right to be as unapologetically visible as their true self; no matter your background or your label, we see you!
