Well hello and welcome to not only the January edition of Dolls House and Miniature Scene magazine, but my first as Editor. My first real and hands on experience of miniatures was at Miniatura in Birmingham back in September 2014. Over the course of a busy weekend my mind was literally blown away by what was on display. So many talented artisans from across the world convened together to display everything from miniature copper pots and pans to glass and earthenware. It was a weekend that I won’t forget and one which introduced me to numerous contributors to the magazine. I attended the Kensington Dollshouse Christmas Festival in November and you can read my show report in next month’s issue.

Last month we introduced and profiled Stephanie Guy, a professional artist specialising in the most amazing portraits of houses, pubs and pets,
all of which are in miniature form. Following on from that introduction, Stephanie’s submitted her first project to DHMS, Vincent Van Gogh’s Sunflowers.
It’s a feature that the team have kept under wraps for a couple of months but at the same time have been eager to share!
