Immune-boosting congee
Zoë Lind van’t Hof of Wunder Workshop says: ‘This Asian savoury rice porridge, or congee, is perfect for supporting your immune system. It’s also beautifully warming, hearty and loaded with beneficial super roots like astragalus and Siberian ginseng, which can help boost your resistance to colds and flu. If the astragalus root is still tough and chewy after slow-cooking, remove it before serving. Placing it in a muslin bag, similar to a bouquet garni, makes it easier to take out.’
