Issue 19 paints a picture close to my heart — Brazil, the country of my birth. While I am undeniably Brazilian, I am also a proud British citizen, having embraced the UK as home for over two decades. The UK holds a special place in my heart, and it’s this blend of Brazilian vivacity and British essence that I’ve strived to capture in LEWIS — a magazine conceived and nurtured in the very heart of Britain. Our collaboration with Brazilian stars, João Guilherme and Cauã Reymond, is a testament to this fusion. Their combined presence on Instagram exceeds a staggering 31 million followers. The genius of Higor Bastos brought their stories to life, vividly contrasting the serene beauty of Rio with São Paulo’s urban pulse.
Closer to home, we spotlight the rising talent, Araloyin O, from the hit Netflix series Top Boy. Shot in the dynamic setting of Espero Studio, Brick Lane by the lovely Marta Literska, his story is a beacon of British talent. Further highlighting our British essence, the charismatic Calum Harper graces our pages, epitomizing style in Valentino and Gucci to name a few.
