The extent of mental health problems in children has been laid bare in a major new report.
It shows that one in eight (12.8%) of children and young people aged between five and 19, surveyed in England in 2017, had a mental disorder.
‘Mental Health of Children and Young People in England, 2017’, which was published in November by NHS Digital, is the result of a major survey of 9,117 children and young people, along with information obtained from parents and teachers.
