ATHLETICS
Runners donned doctors outfits, fake bandages and even a tutu to help celebrate the 70th anniversary of the National Health Service at Saturday’s parkrun event.
The running event at Nevis Range was one of hundreds of ‘parkruns’ around the UK to host a special NHS birthday celebration event on Saturday June 9. The initiative, known as ‘parkrun for the NHS’, recognised the contribution of the NHS to the health of the nation and inspire people to take part in physical activity and volunteering.
