Fourteen members of Oban Seals took to the water at Ganavan.
Saturday February 23 saw the launch of the Oban Seals, a new outdoorswimming group in the area.
Despite the Scottish wintry weather, 14 locals braved the water on Saturday morning, with some taking part in the parkrun aTherwards. Several supporters also came along to watch the morning’s event unfold. The swimmers were even joined by a grey seal, which appeared in the bay. The Oban Seals Facebook group now has in excess of 100 members, so the local interest is growing rapidly. The group will continue to meet every Saturday at 8.45am, at Ganavan Sands car park. Swimmers of all abilities are welcome – the more the merrier.
