Today marks 61 days since 14-year-old Samuel Nai was attacked by a shark on Waiben but 11 operations later, and with more to come, a surprise visit from the ‘Cowboys in Capes’ last week helped to lift his spirits at just the right time.
The Torres Strait Regional Authority (TSRA) has celebrated a major milestone with nine proud Tagai State College graduates also
completing its Growing Our Own project.
The final Waiben Blayk Coffee for the year brewed great coffee and
even better yarns, attracting a crowd of entrepreneurs, business
owners and government officials, including Queensland Minister
for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships Fiona Simpson.
