Red The antioxidant lycopene gives red fruits their colour, and although more research is needed to determine its health benefits, this form of carotenoid has been associated with reduced blood pressure and cholesterol, as well as protection against heart disease. Lycopene is found in cherries, red peppers, grapefruit, papaya, watermelon and tomatoes.
It is better absorbed when cooked, so why not add some chopped tomatoes to your favourite winter one pot dish?
