Raider Magazine Vol 8 Issue 4 Back Issue

English
8 Reviews   •  English   •   General Interest (History & Knowledge)
Welcome to Issue 4 of this volume of Raider. It’s that time of year again when thoughts and actions turn to annual holidays and the associated travel.
This month ‘Survival’ takes a look at what you can do to improve the chances of your holiday going off without drama, so that you come back relaxed and refreshed rather than more stressed than when you left!
Connor compliments this in ‘Everyday Essentials’, looking at indispensable items to make your journeys easier. On the military front, we review an excellent book written by Leigh Neville on the role of Special Forces in the war on terror. If you want to understand just how important and influential
this small group of warriors has been over the past decade you should take a look.
Direct Action this month focusses on the work being done by HMS Bulwark in the Mediterranean as part of the pan-European effort to aid refugees
from Africa and beyond. Once again, Britain’s forces, trained for war, are putting their very particular skills to peaceful purposes. Our regular head-to-head review looks at Bushcraft knives. What are they, what can they do and what will they cost? Have a look at the result of our slicing, dicing and carving and see which of the knives on test gets our seal of approval. Elsewhere you will find the usual mix of fitness, military news and outdoors pursuits. Ever fancied delving into a cave? We went there and give you
our opinion in Adrenaline. There is the usual round up of indispensable kit
in ‘Deploy’, items you really should ignore if you’re out and about.
Hopefully you’ll find plenty to inform and amuse, I’m off to start on the next issue.

Raider

very good Reviewed 11 June 2020

Great Military Magazine

This is a great military mag, my only complaint is the amount of gear reviews, but for coverage of British and Western military, predominately European Army's this mag is the best there is. Reviewed 01 October 2018
