This sculpture of six giant poppies was unveiled at London Waterloo on 29 October as part of The Royal British Legion’s London Poppy Day commemorations. The poppies – each around three metres high and a metre wide – are serving as a collection point and backdrop for various fundraising activities until Remembrance Sunday. The sculpture, seen here with some of the many volunteers who help the Legion at this time of year, was commissioned by the construction and support services group Interserve, which manages some of the facilities at Waterloo and other Network Rail stations.
