Shawn Reed on his quest to track down Team Ico memorabilia

SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS PS4 CHINESE CONTROLLER “They released a PS4 System bundle in China with the Shadow Of The Colossus PS4 remake, which included this (sort of ugly) controller.” AMOUNT PAID: $200
ICO QUEEN’S SWORD “I commissioned Heroic Replicas to make this steel Queen’s Sword from Ico back in 2023. It has the exact runes on the blade, the chain links on the pommel, cloth wraps on the grip, and the very stylised gear-like guard.” AMOUNT PAID: $3,000
UK ICO STORE DISPLAY “I bought this in 2002 off eBay. It’s stunning, and the only one I’ve ever seen.” AMOUNT PAID: $150

While our latest curator is a collector of games, Shawn Reed also has a specific focus on one series in particular: the games of Team Ico. As you can imagine, his quest began with the release of Ico. “I started collecting Team Ico memorabilia right from the jump in late 2001,” Shawn tells us. “I had read reviews of the game in magazines like Game Informer and EGM which is what initially put the game on my radar. And the positive reviews were spot-on. It’s awesome.”
