JENNIFER TILLY IS TIFFANY VALENTINE
The gang’s all here! It’s so exciting to see you back in the world of Child’s Play.
When Don [Mancini] told me that he was doing a Chucky television series, I was really hoping I was going to be in it. But he said, “We’re going a different way, we’re going to be telling a new story.” So I thought maybe I would have a small part. He sent me the first script and at the very end of the episode, Tiffany calls somebody and she whispers on the phone, “Good luck.” And that was the end of the episode. I was sort of disappointed because I really wanted to be a part of it. Then Don says, “What did you think?” I said, “I thought it was great, I’m going to start working on my line right away.” And he goes, “Did you think that was your whole part?” I said, “Yeah” and he goes, “Ohhhhh no.” Honestly, this series, the fans are going to be so happy.
It’s absolutely bonkers. It’s this insane rollercoaster ride. It’s a mix between the OGs, as I call myself, Christine Elsie, Alex Vincent and Fiona Dourif, and the new young guns – the kids are amazing. It’s a wonderful pastiche of craziness.
This series explores the origins of Charles Lee Ray (the killer who posessed Chucky). Are we also going to see more of the backstory of his girlfriend too?
You get to know Tiffany a lot more, and what drives her. I think Tiffany is even more deranged than she was before. With Chucky’s backstory, you see what made him the killer that he is.
