EMBROIDERY TRANSFORMATIONS
Anna Nikipirowicz is a crochet designer, craft tutor and the author of Embroidered Crochet, a book that explores her unique approach to combining crochet and embroidery. She points out that double crochet stitches form perfect squares, which provides an ideal foundation for embroidery. It’s especially suitable for cross stitching.
Anna is passionate about this technique, emphasising how embroidering on crochet fabric enables the creation of intricate designs while adding texture and dimension. “The embroidery can be as detailed and colourful as you like, without the need to worry about carrying yarns over or using complex techniques,” she explains.
