Tree Skirt measures approx 50cm (19 in) in circumference around top and 44cm (17 in) tall

Now your tree can dress to impress with a pretty skirt. As well as covering the pot or stand it makes a nice area for placing gifts.
NOTES
Tree Skirt is worked in rows from the top edge. All FPtr sts are worked into the FPtr sts 2 rows below.
Tree Skirt is placed around the base of a tree without fastenings, but you could add 1cm buttons down one side edge and fasten through the spaces between the stitches.

Row 1 (RS) Dc in second ch from hook and each ch across, do not turn. [47 sts]

Row 3 Ch1, dc in bl of each st across, turn.

4 Ch1, dc in each st across, turn.
Row 5 Ch1, dc in first st, (dc in next 2 sts, dc in next st, pm in last st, dc in next 2 sts) 9 times, dc in final st turn.
Move the markers up as you work.
Row 6 Ch1, (dc in each st to marker, FPtr in st 2 rows below, skip marked st, move marker to FPtr) rep across, turn.
