It’s good to be unique! This unusual cardi is extra cute thanks to the mismatched colour scheme on either side of the front, on the ribbing and on each of the sleeves. You can also mix up the buttons you use on the front.

NOTES Cardigan is made in separate pieces. Cuffs and Button Bands are worked into the pieces before they are joined together. The Stitch Pattern is written out first and the pattern refers back to this.

CARDIGAN STITCH PATTERN Row 1 Ch5 (counts as tr, ch2 throughout), skip 2 sts, *(working over the chs and into sts from 2 rows below) tr in next 2 sts, ch2, skip 2 sts; rep from * to last 3 sts, ch2, tr into last st, turn. Row 2 Ch3 (counts as tr throughout), *( working over the chs and into sts from 2 rows below), tr in next 2 sts, ch2, skip 2 sts; rep from * to last st, tr into last st, turn.

BACK Using a 4mm hook and Yarn A, ch83 (91: 99: 107: 115). Row 1 (RS) Tr in third ch from hook, tr in each ch to end, turn. [81 (89: 97: 105: 113) sts] Row 2 (WS) Ch3, (FPtr around next st, BPtr around next st) rep to end, turn. Row 3 Ch3, (BPtr around next st, FPtr around next st) rep to end, turn. Rows 4-6 Rep Rows 2-3. Row 7 Ch1, dc2tog, dc in each st to end, turn. [80 (88: 96: 104: 112) sts] Change to Yarn B.
