1 Money is power
One of the biggest pains for VR-dabblers is the additional equipment required. The Oculus Rift and Vive need powerful gaming PCs, which is a sticking point for most. The PlayStation VR, meanwhile, only requires a PS4 so is significantly more accessible. Don’t even have one of those? Try the Oculus Go, as the headset is all you need to jump into VR worlds.

2 What’s your game?
Another major consideration is what experiences you want from your headset. The phone-enabled Daydream will happily run arty apps, VR movies and mobile-esque games, but serious gamers will want a more powerful headset. The PlayStation VR has a wide selection of titles including Skyrim, Farpoint and Superhot VR.
