THE BASICS
■ Pick a plan Whether you’re new to Netflix or a veteran, choose the right plan. The £4.99/m one has ads and blocks a handful of shows – you’ll see a lock icon next to them; Standard (£10.99/m) is free from ads and blocks. Both will let you watch on two devices at once. Premium (£17.99/m) goes 4K and ups simultaneous viewing to four devices.
■ Take control Tap/click during playback and you’ll see standard controls and, on the ads plan, where you’re going to be interrupted. Use the speech balloon to activate subtitles. On mobile, you can lock the screen to avoid errant taps and increase playback speed when John Wick 4 is into hour seven.
