SONY OPENS ITS PORTAL TO GAMING ON THE TOILET
Sony’s PlayStation Portal – the handheld device that lets you stream PS5 games over Wi-Fi to its 8in Full HD LCD display – will go on sale on 15 November for a pretty reasonable £200. It features haptic feedback and adaptive triggers; pre-orders at direct.playstation.com are open now.
ANKER CHARGES AHEAD WITH Qi2 MAGNETIC POWER BANK
Anker has unveiled its first portable charger that uses Qi2 – anew standard that has MagSafe-style magnets to hold your phone in place. The MagGo Power Bank Qi2 10,000mAh has a built-in kickstand and LCD display. Now we just need someone to launch a non-Apple phone to go with it.

Do you remember Clubhouse? The voice-based social media app that was very briefly the next big thing in 2020 has been redesigned and refocused around voice-only group chats that work a bit like communal Instagram Stories (but without the pictures and videos). It’s out now on iOS and Android.
NINTENDO GETS REDDY TO LAUNCH ‘NEW’ SWITCH
Nintendo has got a new handheld on the way… sort of. The Switch OLED Mario Red Edition (£310) comes with an OLED screen and a silhouette of the famous plumber on the dock. It’s available to buy from 6 October… but if you were hoping for a Switch 2 then unfortunately the wait continues.
