Marvel’s Iron Man VR
Assume the role of the Avengers’ flying business magnate in a feature-filled PSVR showcase aimed at anyone who wants to know how it feels to have superpowers
Surprisingly, this is the first proper superhero PSVR outing since Sony’s headset debuted in 2016 with Batman: Arkham VR. The good news is, Marvel’s Iron Man VR isn’t just another brief ‘experience’, but a full-fat campaign along the lines of Blood & Truth.
The game’s original story takes us away from the Avengers and focuses on a more personal tale, as Tony Stark finds the ghosts of his weapons-manufacturing past catching up with him. And in one case we mean that literally, as the chief villain is super-hacker Ghost. Tony must fight her by bringing out of retirement Gunsmith, a trigger-happy AI modelled on his own cocky personality.
