Fate gives you Aspects: descriptive sentences that shape gameplay. You spend Fate Points to gain an advantage. In my game, the King’s Advisor used “I know better than you” to resolve the king’s problem. However, the game master (GM) or other players can also use these against you and get a Fate Point back. e.g. Someone deciding not to help the King’s Advisor because he’s arrogant. This push and pull creates the mindset of telling a cool story rather than trying to make the character seem cool.
