BMW M4 COMPETITION XDRIVE CONVERTIBLE
Chop top
The recipe here is a good one; a BMW Convertible seasoned with excellent xDrive four-wheel drive and sharing pretty much everything with the hardcore M4 Competition Coupe. So that’s the 503bhp, 3.0-litre straight-six turbo, monster brakes, useful interior and pleasingly racy dynamics. Except in this case, there’s a fabric roof – some 40 per cent lighter than the folding metal hard top in the last-generation M3 – and a rear en that gets a much cleaner shape because said roof can stow smaller (and at speeds of up to 30-ish mph). It looks neat and stylish roof up or down, and we’ll leave it up to you to decide whether the mutant squirrel face furniture is a deal-breaker or not. Wise to note that the front end styling is extremely colour sensitive, so be careful on the configurator and you can make it look... less bad.
