I havesaid it before, but I’ll say it again – TopGear doesn’t do awards like everyone else. We don’t draw up a list of categories neatly defined by established body shapes and sizes, because automotive is an industry that refuses to be put into a box. Cars are constantly evolving; the moment you identify a cluster of them with identical form, function and propulsion and try to stick a pin in it, it’s too late, the market’s saturated and the world’s moved on to the next thing, the next out of the box idea.
