Gran Turismo 7 VR
Available as a free update to GT7 for owners of the very much not free £530 PlayStation VR2, the new virtual reality functionality for the planet’s prettiest racer is enormously impressive. If you’ve ever wanted to press your nose up to the dials of a priceless supercar without getting forcibly thrown out of the dealership, now’s your chance. It’s difficult to adequately describe the transformative feeling of presence VR affords, but suffice to say its addition to the already excellent GT7 in combination with one of the most technically advanced VR headsets on the market is the stuff of sci-fi fantasy. It’s also a genuinely viable way to play long-term. Unlike GT Sport’s more limited VR experience, you can strap the headset on for every mode in the game other than split-screen two-player, meaning if you want to be violently nauseated by the first corner collision in a public multiplayer lobby then Sony will do everything but hand you the sick bag.
