Above is a 1969 photograph of the old pits at the Nürburgring, taken at the ADAC 1,000km race at the end of May. Normally an exciting battle between several manufacturers, that year it was a disappointingly one-sided affair as Porsche 908/2s filled the first five places. Victors were Brian Redman and Jo Siffert, the latter seen here between team manager Rico Steinemann and deputy technical director Helmuth Bott. The man on the right of the picture is Peter Falk.
