Tractor & Farming Heritage Magazine  |  Fordson Major 1945-1964
Much has been written over the years on the Fordson Major tractor, but there has not been a definitive or near definitive book produced on the subject such as this for nearly 20 years. The tractor enthusiast market has developed beyond all expectations from those very infant years, not really taking hold until the mid to late 1990s.
Since the introduction of the Fordson Major tractors back in 1945, no other tractor or skid unit has been used for more purposes and by other manufacturers around the world than Ford's Major tractor and skid unit.
Famous derivatives such as County, Roadless, Doe, Bray, Chaseside, Matbro, Muir Hill and many more are all mentioned in their own sections as well as the derivatives for overseas markets.
