EVERYTHING about Zuma was done on the fly, including the cover by Young’s old friend Jim “Sandy” Mazzeo. It’s one of Young’s very best album covers – not quite as loaded with imagery as On The Beach, but boasting a goofy, dreamlike exuberance that accurately captures the music within. Not everybody is a fan, but Young himself digs it, naming it a personal favourite.
