INITIALLY drawn towards more straightforward folk, it was after watching a John Martyn performance on an old episode of Top Of The Pops that something clicked. “He had an Echoplex machine and that inspired me to get some loop pedals and start looping – which became my thing,” Lucy Gooch recalls. “Guitars at first, then synth for more accuracy, but it was when I began looping vocals that I began to get more of a reaction from the people around me.”
