CAN you tell us about your first meeting with Peter?
July 1976 in Toronto, at the studio where Peter was to do his first solo album. I didn’t know of Genesis’s music, so it was a revelation hearing the unusual style he has of writing, and great singing, and great guy on top of that. And he had a notable attraction to ‘alternative’ ways to play each part on the tracks - so that helped set me on a path to being the musician I am. It was a memorable day for me, and on the same day, I also met Robert Fripp. Now, many years later, I’m very fortunate to be making music, and good friends, with both of them.
