Bead & Jewellery Magazine | Issue 137
We open this issue with a stunning front cover piece by the delightful Miriam Shimon, who revisits her Soutache origins with these fabulous earrings. We’re also excited to feature two non-jewellery projects: a delightful scissor keeper from Amanda Wesson. Amanda has a real talent for taking something every day and making it special. Secondly, Angelina Croft has designed the most adorable beaded vase using Superduo beads. Emma Kneale is back with us, and her sweet little cross-inspired piece is so wearable and so light that you could even make two for earrings. Judith Robson has been stash-busting with her project. Her quick-to-make pendant uses a pretty vintage bead she’s had for quite a while, and it looks perfect in this project. I’ve also made a pendant for this issue. Aster is one of my most treasured pieces, and I hope it will be one of yours. Regular wire enthusiast Alison Tarry has brought us two projects in this issue. A stunning pair of clear quartz wire earrings and a show-stopping chainmaille necklace. Finally, Samantha Halliwell’s project offers a perfect introduction to metal clay and stone setting.
