Cage & Aviary Birds  |  July 13th 2022
It’s Thirties Week in C&AB! 1930s, that is, with a special focus on Cage Birds in the decade before the War. A canary-breeding set-up for the living room and a portable budgie-breeding aviary for the garden both feature. Budgies were on the march that decade and were even making ground in the canary stronghold of Yorkshire, while in Kent the famous Keston Bird Farm was making headlines. Back with budgies in 2022, we hear from a keen young fancier and a well-seasoned one(1), and enjoy all our canary regulars as well as articles on parrots, delivering a club talk and where to find wild bird food.
