The carp grapevine was left buzzing this week after the capture of an 83¼lb mirror from Wingham Fishery in Kent. Inside we have the full story on the capture of what we believe should be the new British record. In other record news, a fish which was close to the record a few weeks ago has been landed again! Captain Jack weighed in at 67¼lb when landed by Carp-Talk regular Dave Smedley. Frimley Pit 3 produced a new lake record with the capture of Charlie’s Mate at 54lb and over the channel Glen Roberts landed Lake Serene’s big common at a massive weight of 92lb.
Greg Ellis details the reasons why he will be continuing his relentless efforts to land his target fish this winter. CC Moore’s Alex Grice talks boilie crumb while Mikey Farrall recalls a successful session where he landed a lovely 30-pounder. Solar Tackle’s Alain Servaes relays the story of an incredible brace of 40lb commons and Paul Codman simplifies the use of boilies and details how to get the most from them.
We also have £230-plus of Fox Chunk clothing up for grabs and both the RidgeMonkey juniors and CC Moore monthly winners are revealed.
