Meet Coryphella verrucosa, the translucent sea slug that’s been found as far as 300 metres below the ocean surface. Their bodies are covered in orange protrusions. These are the sites of many of the sea slugs’ metabolic functions, such as gas exchange and photosynthesis. At the tip of each strand is a tentacle-like sensory organ called a rhinophore, which acts as the nose.
