Jennifer Lawrence was criticised for her outfit at a photo call for new film, Red Sparrow. The image of Jen, stood wearing a plunging Versace dress with a thigh high split, next to four male colleagues all wrapped in coats and jumpers was a conversation starter on Twitter. While there’s no suggestion that Jen was forced to wear the dress, social media users described the contrast between Jen and her male colleagues as ‘quietly depressing’. Following the comments, Jen was quick to defend herself. That Versace dress was fabulous – you think I’m going to cover that gorgeous dress up with a coat and a scarf? I was outside for five minutes. Everything you see me wear is my choice. And if I want to be cold THATS MY CHOICE TOO!’ ‘Jen’s trying to restore positivity in her life,’ adds one pal. ‘In her mind, it’s her body, and she’ll do what she wants. She doesn’t understand all this backlash right now. People seem to love to hate her.’
