Making Cards & Papercraft  |  October 2013
Welcome to the October edition of Making Cards! I am thrilled to announce that this month we have teamed up with the fabulous Hunkydory to bring you a selection of their wonderful Christmas themed
‘Window to the heart – Heartfelt Season’ craft papers as your free gift!
Those of you looking to make Christmas cards that little bit different will love the warm and contemporary artwork featuring festive scenes of Christmas in pinks and whites.
We’re also teaming up with Hunkydory next month to bring you a selection of craft papers from their new Festive Decadence range, an art-deco inspired range of beautiful ladies which I know you will love so make sure you don’t miss out!
Our second set this month, Dramatic damask, features traditional damask patterned backing papers in a range of sleek contemporary colours teamed with chandelier silhouettes. The bold prints are great for sophisticated designs and Emma Williams has created some great designs for you.
Elsewhere in the magazine we have some lovely projects by out talented contributors. Autumn is creeping in with two of our projects, Adorable for autumn, using the new Tilly Daydream range and my Editor’s top pick this month and Remembering blooms, a beautiful card again by the
talented Emma Williams, featuring beautiful autumnal colours. Joanna Sheen’s diary entry this month, Joanna Sheen’s Inspirations, is all about launching one of her new ranges, Signature dies. In her personally written entry, Joanna shares the worries and process of making her products and shares a couple of cards produced using the finish product! In his Masterclass this month Phill Martin shares his tips on working with gilding flakes.
