Lets cook at Leiths
Leiths School of Food and Wine is one of the most famous cookery training schools not only in London, but throughout the country. With 40 years of experience behind them, the school recently launched its first vegan class. Unsurprisingly, it sold out in record time.
We chatted with Jenny Stringer, the school’s Deputy Managing Director to discuss the huge demand for their new plant based programmes and what you can expect to learn if you sign up to one of the school’s classes.
The launch of your first vegan cookery class sold out in record time. Why do you think this was so successful?
There’s a huge demand for knowledge and practical skills around plant based and vegan cooking. People know that they want to make a change, whatever the reason may be, but it’s hard to initially transition if you’re not equipped. Cooking alongside other students in our kitchens with the guidance of our chefs makes the prospect far less daunting. It’s a fun, effective way to improve your repertoire of skills and vegan recipes, which seems to have captured people’s interest.
