These foods feature heavily in well-balanced vegan diets, so it’s not surprising that some research has linked vegan diets to lower blood pressure and cholesterol, and lower rates of heart disease.

Although children have a very low risk of developing heart disease, unhealthy lifestyle choices early on may increase the risk of developing the condition later in life.
