Since we last brought this magazine to you, the world has, indeed, been turned upside down. The outbreak of the coronavirus has carried with it many changes into our everyday lives, with only essential trips and one daily bout of exercise outside of the house allowed (I’m living for my lunchtime bike rides, right now). Businesses and plans may have been put on hold, but we must live on and we need to stay optimistic.
It is from my dining room table-now-desk that I write to you, hoping to continue to share the vegan message, as well as spread some much-needed positivity. When we pull together, we can do great things, as many amazing vegan companies and individuals have shown. I was warmed to learn that plant-based seafood brand, Sophie’s Kitchen, recently donated 4,500 cans of their vegan ‘Toona’ to hospitals and foodbanks (p11) and have heard so many similarly uplifting stories of peoples’ acts of kindness. If there is ever a community that knows how to lead by example, it is surely the vegan community, as our columnist, Karin Ridgers, discusses this month (p66). Someone that is certainly showing us the way, is Catherine Besch, one of the founders of Vietnam Animal Aid and Rescue, who are working hard in Vietnam to
re-educate vets and spread veganism to save animals. She shares their story on p34.
If you’re looking to learn new skills whilst we’re in lockdown, turn to p62 to find out how to become more self-sufficient, and try your hand at Gaz Oakley’s tasty recipes (p89). We chat to the passionate vegan chef on p18.
And in good news, we’ve now made the move to become a digital publication. We hope this will help us to reach more of you from the touch of a button. Alongside Vegan Life, you will now receive three other titles for free, to inspire, entertain and motivate you.

This magazine changed my life!

Vegan Life magazine fills me with inspiration and hope. The articles are well written and very informative. I only went vegan last January and since then have learned so much, not just about food but lifestyle, clothing, make up, cleaning products, who knew there was so many areas where animals are exploited. I love making the recipes in the magazine can can honestly say I have made almost all of them. Thank you Vegan Life Team, keep up the great work. Reviewed 18 September 2019

Fantastic mag

I love this mag especially as I believe it's the only one actually written and run by a vegan team so for me it has authenticity. The tone of the articles is spot on and the recipes easy to follow. Some very good daily advise for those jst starting out or anyone wanting to go from just a food perspective to embrace the whole culture and lifestyle. Reviewed 08 January 2019

Love it!

By far the best vegan mag on the block. My whole family love the diversity of articles and great recipes. The magazine helped me to go vegan and stay vegan. Since subscribing we must have cooked all the recipes and read every issue cover to cover. A very inspiring read, Love it! Reviewed 14 June 2018

Best vegan magazine

This is my favourite vegan magazine. It has a good mix of different things: interviews, articles, recipes, product reviews, etc. I find other similar magazines focus too much on just recipes but I like the balance this magazine has. Reviewed 03 June 2017

Relevant information

I love this magazine, much cheaper on the iPad than in the shop, I think all the articles are very informative and is very encouraging for those that lead a vegan lifestyle! Reviewed 03 April 2015
