Welcome to May — we hope you’re excited, because we’ve got a jam-packed issue for you this month to help you with activism, living your most eco-friendly life and with cooking delicious vegan meals.
Have you watched NETFLIX documentary Seaspiracy yet? Following the mass success of the film that seeks to expose the fishing industry, we’ve got tonnes of fish-free and ocean-friendly sea-inspired recipes for you to try. Next time your non-vegan friends or family say that they want to order or cook seafood and chips, why don’t you get them to watch the doc, then cook them Edward Daniel’s Vegan Fish and Chips from our recipe assortment? It will blow their minds and help them realise that even vegans can enjoy ‘fishy’ flavours.
But if that doesn’t float your boat… we’ve also got breakfasts from around the world, super sandwiches and Ayurvedic recipes for you to salivate over — so what are you waiting for? Get cooking! And make sure to take a photo of any of our dishes you cook and tag us on social media.
Back in 2019 (in those hazy pre-pandemic days!), plant-powered charity Million Dollar Vegan challenged Pope Francis to give up eating meat and dairy for Lent. Two years on, and the inspiring organisation are planning their next high-profile ‘go-vegan’ challenge — read our interview with MDV president, Naomi Hallum, to find out what the charity has been up to during the Coronavirus, and to hear more about their exciting next venture.
Also, in this issue, Maria Slough talks to the wonderful founders of Europe’s first-ever elephant sanctuary — Elephant Haven; we meet Vegetarian For Life, the brilliant charity that is working to support older vegans, and we share the ultimate guide to vegan beauty with hair, skin and nails top tips and products.
Have a fabulous month!

This magazine changed my life!

Vegan Life magazine fills me with inspiration and hope. The articles are well written and very informative. I only went vegan last January and since then have learned so much, not just about food but lifestyle, clothing, make up, cleaning products, who knew there was so many areas where animals are exploited. I love making the recipes in the magazine can can honestly say I have made almost all of them. Thank you Vegan Life Team, keep up the great work. Reviewed 18 September 2019

Fantastic mag

I love this mag especially as I believe it's the only one actually written and run by a vegan team so for me it has authenticity. The tone of the articles is spot on and the recipes easy to follow. Some very good daily advise for those jst starting out or anyone wanting to go from just a food perspective to embrace the whole culture and lifestyle. Reviewed 08 January 2019

Love it!

By far the best vegan mag on the block. My whole family love the diversity of articles and great recipes. The magazine helped me to go vegan and stay vegan. Since subscribing we must have cooked all the recipes and read every issue cover to cover. A very inspiring read, Love it! Reviewed 14 June 2018

Best vegan magazine

This is my favourite vegan magazine. It has a good mix of different things: interviews, articles, recipes, product reviews, etc. I find other similar magazines focus too much on just recipes but I like the balance this magazine has. Reviewed 03 June 2017

Relevant information

I love this magazine, much cheaper on the iPad than in the shop, I think all the articles are very informative and is very encouraging for those that lead a vegan lifestyle! Reviewed 03 April 2015
