What’s July cooking?

Keep up to date with all the latest vegan news, events, products and happenings

Tesco has been upping the stakes in the world of vegan food in the last year and this time it has raised the bar to a whole new level by teaming up with Dutch manufacturer Vivera to sell a 100% plant-based steak. Made from wheat and soy, the ‘steak’ closely resembles meat – from the texture and look to the taste – so we know it won’t be for everyone! It costs just £2.99 for a 200g pack, and is also joined in the range by Veggie Burgers, Smokey BBQ Pulled Veggie, Veggie Fish Goujons and Shwarma Kebab, also all £2.99 each. At that price, if you’re a fan of mock meats, it’s worth trying them all!
