Mazda 6e

Executive saloon gets an electric rebirth, making it a rival for the Tesla Model 3 On sale Summer 2026 Price from £42,000 (est)

IN THE HARRY Potter books, the Resurrection Stone summons loved ones back from the afterlife. The catch is, though, that upon being brought back, they’re no longer quite the same as before. Similarly, the once-popular Mazda 6 is undergoing a resurrection, but it, too, is returning with a somewhat changed persona.

You see, while the 6 remains an executive car, it’s now fully electric, having been developed in conjunction with Chinese car maker Changan Automobile. In China, it’s called the EZ-6 and is on sale now, but it’ll go by the name 6e when Mazda brings it to the UK in summer 2026.
