Women's Running ECO CHAMPION PANTS

£18 | Size S to XXL runderwear.co.uk| Tester Esther

These are the sort of pants that will change your mind about running underwear. If you normally pop on a pair of your usual cotton comfies and are at a loss as to why you chafe like a good’un after every run, let me introduce your saving grace. These bad boys are 100% recycled, completely seam-free and extremely comfortable. They are BIG pants, but that means they sit brilliantly under tights and shorts (I didn’t have to pick them out of any, um, tight spots during the run), and they’re also beautifully lightweight. Altogether a great pair of pants for great chafe-free running.

Women dominate the Montane Summer Spine
We witnessed incredible performances from the first two finishers of the Summer Spine; both of them women ahead of the first (and third-placed) man, and both completing the 268-mile route comfortably ahead of the rest of the pack. Yet more proof, if it were needed, that women excel at extreme ultra distances.

The 80/20 rule promotes running at low intensity for around 80% of your training time, with just 20% of training at a hard intensity. This method is followed by many elite athletes, so could it be the key to improving your running fitness?
